Barcelona Games World breaks records in its second edition

Barcelona Games World has managed to become one of the main video game halls in Spain, celebrating this event between 5 and 8 October of this year, closing the days of exposition breaking records set in its first edition, both with the number of exhibitors as with the number of visitors.

Barcelona Games World has been fully consolidated as a platform for boosting the industry and internalizing the national talent, thanks to the presence of more than 200 exhibiting companies, representing a 35% increase compared to last year. These companies have been in charge of presenting 130 titles, of which 23 of them are complete innovations.

Each and every visitor to the incredible Barcelona Games World has had the opportunity to meet in person many of the myths of the video game universe, such as the legendary Toru Iwatani, who created Pac-Man, or Kozunori Yamauchi, father of the well-known Gran Turismo saga. In addition we find Ichiro Hazama, the producer of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

If this wasn’t enough, we can appreciate that the show has had a number of eSports tournaments, including the important event of the national championship final Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

During the event, the show managed to host more than 480 interviews among all developers, publishers and various participating investors.

Expectations managed to be exceeded in a big way, with all available tickets completely sold out, recording the impressive number of more than 135,000 visits in the 4 days of exhibition, which suggests that next year will seek to overcome all these numbers with an event even more amazing.
